Why are we not hearing what is really in Obama's Health Care reform?

When we turn on the local news, we hear about the Health Care reform package. We hear sound bytes from Obama saying how "everyone will have coverage" or he is promising "our health care package will not be like the other countries". When we hear a politician speaking out against it, we hear them talking about how much it will cost, we hear them say we can't afford it. Well they are right, we can't afford the billions of dollars it will cost, and we can't afford the price in human lives it will cost.

They say they want health care reform so everyone will have access to the health care they need, so why does it limit the care we will receive?

Sec. 122, Pg. 29, Lines 4-16 - YOUR HEALTH CARE WILL BE RATIONED!

If the Gov. decides you really don't need a treatment, you won't receive it.

Sec. 123, Pg. 30 - THERE WILL BE A GOVERNMENT COMMITTEE deciding what treatments and benefits you get.

• Sec. 142, Pg. 42 - The Health Choices Commissioner will choose your benefits for you. You have no choice!

Sec. 201, Pg. 72, Lines 8-14 - Government is creating an HC Exchange to bring private plans under government control.

Sec. 203, Pg. 85, Line 7 - Specifications of benefit levels for plans means that the
government will define your HC plan and has the ability to ration your health
care!

We don't hear where the billions of dollars will come from to pay for this program.

Sec. 163, Pg. 58-59 beginning at line 5 - Government will have real-time access to individual’s finances & a National ID health care card will be issued!

• Sec. 163, Pg. 59, Lines 21-24 - Government will have direct access to your bank accounts for electronic funds transfer.

Sec. 152, Pg. 50-51 - HC will be provided to ALL NON-US citizens.

Sec. 313, Pg. 149, Lines 16-23 - ANY employer with payroll $400,000 and above who
does not provide public option pays 8% tax on all payroll.

• Sec. 313, Pg. 150, Lines 9-13 - Businesses with payroll between $251,000 and $400,000
who do not provide public option pay 2-6% tax on all payroll.

• Sec. 401.59B, Pg. 167, Lines 18-23 - ANY individual who does not have acceptable care,
according to government, will be taxed 2.5% of income.

• Sec. 59B, Pg. 170, Line 1 - Any NONRESIDENT alien is exempt from individual taxes.
(Americans will pay for their health care.)

How will the Gov. control the cost of this program?

Sec. 225, Pg. 127, Lines 1-16 - Doctors – the government will tell YOU what you can
make. “The Secretary shall provide for the annual participation of physicians under the
public health insurance option, for which payment may be made for services furnished
during the year.”

Sec. 1121, Pg. 239, Lines 14-24 - The government will limit and reduce physician services for Medicaid. Seniors, low income and poor are the ones affected.

• Sec. 1121, Pg. 241, Lines 6-8 - Doctors, it does not matter what specialty you have; you’ll all be paid the same. “Service categories established under this paragraph shall apply without regard to the specialty of the physician furnishing the service.”

Sec. 1177, Pg. 354 - Government will RESTRICT enrollment of special needs people! “Extension of Authority of Special Needs Plans to Restrict Enrollment.”

Sec. 1233, Pg. 425, Lines 4-12 - Government mandates Advance (Death) Care Planning consultation. Think Senior Citizens and end of life. END-OF-LIFE COUNSELING. SOME IN THE ADMINISTRATION HAVE ALREADY DISCUSSED RATIONING HEALTH CARE FOR THE ELDERLY.

• Sec. 1233, Pg. 425, Lines 17-19 - Government WILL instruct and consult regarding living wills and durable powers of attorney. Mandatory end-of-life planning!

Sec. 1233, Pg. 429, Lines 10-12 - “Advanced Care Consultation” may include an ORDER for end-of-life plans - from the government.

Sec. 1233, Pg. 430, Lines 11-15 - The government will decide what level of treatment you will have at end of life, according to preset methods (not individually decided).

Sec. 1713, Pg. 768, Lines 3-5 - Nurse Home Visit Services – Service #1: “Improving maternal or child health and pregnancy outcomes or increasing birth intervals between pregnancies.” Compulsory ABORTIONS?

Sec. 1714, Pg. 769 - Federal government mandates eligibility for State Family Planning Services. Abortion and government control intertwined.

Sec. 440, Pg. 837-839 - The government will design and implement Home Visitation Program for families with young kids and families that are expecting children.

• Sec. 1904, Pg. 843-844 - This Home Visitation Program includes the government coming into your house and teaching/telling you how to parent!

How will the Gov. know each person is covered?

Sec. 2521, Pg. 1000 - The government will establish a National Medical Device Registry. Will you be tracked?

I have been told this "Health Care Package" will never pass so there is no reason to worry about it. I'm not sure it won't pass, I mean isn't the way the democrats get elected is to promise us we won't have to pay for something? As a country we tend to jump on any band wagon that is promised to us for free.

The scary part of this package isn't if it will be passed, the scary part is that we have put "leaders" in office that would even consider this sort of evil.

It is time for the Pastors of this country to mount their pulpits with some fire and back bone, and expose this for what it really is. It is time for Christians in this country to take a stand and put a stop to this evil that has rooted itself in our country.

We need to flood the phone lines and emails to our Senators asking them to not vote for this.

Ready for the leaves to change.

I have just finished writing the rules for my hunting lease for this season. I will start calling the people who hunt with me today to start collecting the dues they owe, and it has gotten me to thinking, I am ready for fall. I am ready for the cooler days and the fall colors, I am ready to watch college football, but most of all I am ready to sit in the deer woods.

When I think about the deer woods it is like I am thinking about an old friend I only get to visit with a few times a year, and when it starts to get close to the time for the "visit" I start to get slight feeling of excitement. Now don't get me wrong I don't want to come across as one of the guys who addicted to hunting, that allow hunting to consume their minds, hearts and lives year in and year out.

Hunting for me is a chance to slow down, and remember. I remember the lessons my Daddy and Uncles taught me about being a man, and the time we were able to spend together without the distractions you have to compete with at home. It gives me a chance to hand down the same lessons to my son, the same way they were handed to me.

It also puts me in a place where I can sit and listen. I get to sit for hours in silence without moving, and get to just listen... listen tho the birds and wind, and animals. To listen to God. Without the distractions that come with being around home or the office or town, I can settle in and wait for the still small voice that God speaks to all of us in.

Do you have a place where you can slow down and listen?

A Pocket Full of Pennies.

As I sit here, I am thinking about the jar I keep under my desk. This jar is nothing special, I bought it at a yard sale for a dollar. I bought it not because it is old and valuable, but because I liked the way it looks. I also bought it because of it's size. It isn't huge, but it is a good size. The reason I wanted that jar is I needed a place to put my pennies. I have had several pocket fulls of pennies in my life, now they just lay in that jar under my desk. They were created to do a job, to serve a purpose, they were meant to be used. I had a use for them, now they are just a collection to me. I see them as common pieces of metal. I have stored them away until I have forgotten their value.

You may be thinking, I have one of those jars too, and pennies aren't worth much so I will keep them there. The government has said they want to get rid of pennies because they don't mean anything, anymore.

I sit here and as I look at that jar I am starting to see some things. I see the the average church in America today. I know you are sitting there trying to figure out how you can see a church in a jar of pennies. The local church today has taken the lost Hell bound sinners and placed them in a jar and stored them under a desk. They have forgotten the value of a soul. They look at the person and what they can do for the church, instead of looking at the soul, and what the Blood of Jesus can do for them. We as Christians are preach the Gospel to every creature. We are to seek out the lost. My Daddy would come out of the woods while we were deer hunting and I would be sitting in the truck. Daddy never failed to give me the same advice every Saturday, he would say "You can't kill a deer sitting in the truck." We have way to many Christians today sitting in the truck. You will not win a soul to Christ sitting in the corner. I have never had a deer come looking for me, I had to GO hunt for it. We have to break those jars and see the true value of a soul, than go and hunt for them.

I also see the modern day Pastor as I look at this jar. My senior year, during the first week of the season the local news paper ran a story about our team. The paper said "Coach Johnson says this season we have a team of No Names." We went to practice and you could see the steam coming out of our ears! We were mad! Our head coach had told the paper we were a team of No Names. He let us steam over that article all week, until the thursday practice. The "pep talk" before the Friday night game. He stepped into the circle of kids, who thought they were the toughest things on the face of the Earth, and said "all of our big names are gone" He went on to say people could read our roster over the last few years, and names would jump out and they knew who they were. He said this year the names haven't been made yet. He told us we were smaller than the other teams, they had more speed, and raw talent than we did, they had the names on their rosters that people knew. He told us we had to play harder, hit harder, run faster and last longer than the other teams.

Our Pastors today are the No Names. We don't have Curtis Hutson, Jack Hyles, R.G. Lee, Billy Kelly, and the list could go on and on. We don't have Pastors that walk the aisle every week with a sinner they went out and hunted, we don't have Pastors who get out of the truck, so God can build a large church that doesn't have to compromise on everything, so people will come.

The Pastors of today have to pray harder, fast longer and cry out to God louder, than they did before, because we have put our burden and passion for souls into the jar and slid it under the desk.We have made the church member common, and allowed them to lose their value. We have churches full members who are nothing more than a pocket full of pennies. It's time for us to put the value back on soul winning, and teaching our converts. The Great Commision says to preach the Gospel, and make Disciples.

What's in your jar?

Are you wise?

Many people believe they are wise, they feel they smart at least smarter than the next guy. A vast majority of the people in this country are not wise. They may have several degrees or high paying jobs, they may even have extremely high IQ scores, but they are not wise.

Many of the people I just described, are not wise, not because of their education; but by what they have in their refrigerators and cabinets. I am talking about the beer, wine and whiskey theses people have in their homes. They have theses cans and bottles in their homes because they believe they need them for one reason or another. They think the alcohol helps them to relax, or unwind. They also think that it is healthy for them. There is no way a poison can be healthy.

They are deceived by the advertisements they see and hear. I'll admit it, the beer companies are good at getting their product sold. They play festive music during the ad, and show happy people. Satan has used these people to deceive us. What they need to do is play the sirens in the background as the Medics race to another car crash, and show the people in the emergency rooms, who's lives have just been destroyed by some one's "good time". Would you buy another case if they showed the little girl that is hungry because her "daddy" spent the food money on his Bud Light again, or the little boy who is black and blue, from a parent who had too much to drink?

You tell yourself, I am not a drunk, I only drink socially.

Wine is a mocker, strong drink is raging; and whosoever is deceived thereby is not wise.
Proverbs 20:1

Do we have faith?

But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
Hebrews 11:6

I have noticed something, that has really got me to thinking lately. I have had a question, root itself in my heart and I have tried to answer it. That question is:
Has our churches lost their faith?

I ask that question, because of a pattern I have seen over the last couple of months. We are on deputation, raising our support to go to Montana, and a big part of my days are spent calling churches to schedule meetings, so we can share our burden for Montana. The pattern I have noticed is, church after church, have told me they have stopped accepting new missionaries, and worse yet have stop their missions programs.

On average a missionary will make several hundred phone calls a week, with that many calls, it is scary when you see a pattern forming. Please do not take this the wrong way but, it makes me mad to hear about churches who drop missions. I know we are not to get "mad"; but don't forget we are commanded to fulfil the Great Commission, and we are to live by faith. I have been told by several Pastors, that they were "forced" to cut missions because giving had drop as a result of the economy.

Let me say, I know the economy is bad, but I don't believe we are allowed to use that as an excuse.

And Jesus saith unto him, The foxes have holes, and the birds of the air have nests; but the Son of man hath not where to lay his head.

Jesus came to this world to; quite frankly do a job. He did not have a large church building, or even a house to preach from. He did not allow that fact to cause him to lose sight of the reason he was here; to save sinners. In John 4 His disciples came from town, buying meat and they find Jesus on Jacob's well with a sinner that has just been saved. The disciples ask if any man brought Jesus any meat? And he answered them: My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work. John 4:34 That should be our "meat" also, to do the will of the one that sent him and to finish his work.

We have a job to do. We are to preach the Gospel, to every creature. Spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ should be the main point in our lives. The death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ is the answer that this country and world needs. Obama doesn't have the answer, Biden doesn't have the answer, Pelosi doesn't have a clue. The answers that we need is found in the Word of God, and the way those answers will be given to the people who need them, is for a Preacher to take a stand, and get a good tight grip on his sword, and PREACH!

This country needs it's preachers to stand up and preach until their lungs have callouses, and not back down because the economy isn't a bed of roses. We have to get Missionaries on the field! Jesus said "Say not ye, there are yet four months, and then cometh the harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields, for they are white already to harvest"
John 4:35

We can not afford to wait until the economy picks up, the fields are white already. In the couple of minutes you have spent reading this someone has died. Someone from the town you live in has died, and just as the rich man in Luke 16 has lift up his eyes in HELL, and being in torments! A soul has died and gone to Hell for eternity, why we have sat here and worried about the amount of money we have in the bank. I don't understand why we put our faith in our money and things, don't you understand everything we have will belong to Satan 10 seconds after the Rapture?

I know the economy is down and unemployment is up. We seem to see 8% unemployment, and forget that still means 92% employment. I believe we as Christians have lost our faith. We can't seem to grasp the fact that the same God, that sent his Son to die for our sin, that raised him from the dead, promised he will take care of us. He said he would not leave us nor forsake us. We sit and worry, instead of trusting God to provide for us.

We have failed to please God. Without faith it is impossible to please him. When we don't have enough faith to give a couple of dollars a week, to supply the needs of a family that has surrendered everything, to serve Him, He is not pleased. A family that has weighed the value of their home, family, and friends against the value of one soul, and has decided the soul is worth far more. They've sold that home and left that family and those friends to move across the country or world to preach the Gospel to the lost, to do the will of the one that sent him, and to finish his work. And the only thing that is holding them up is a few dollars a week.

I am not writing this to complain, only to try and help. Keep your faith strong, and spread the Gospel. Don't stop a Faith Promise you have made, and don't let your church stop their missions. Trust God to show you the few dollars a week that is needed, to get your Missionaries on the field, and keep them there.

The field is white, already to harvest. Will you hinder that harvest, or will you let the harvest rot in the field? Someone else has died, since you started reading this.

Hell hath enlarge herself.
